It is no coincidence that it has managed to achieve not only self-sufficiency but also has enough industrial surplus to produce advanced weapons systems which guarantee deterrence against hostile powers, as well as large enough quantities of munitions that even Russia - itself a huge producer - is receiving imports from the DPRK.
