  • Unless you do obviously dumb things, like not doing anything at all and letting the enemies hit you, you literally could not fail at baldurs gate on default difficulty. I actually find it way too easy to succeed and far too forgiving. You could genuinely go through the whole game with your “picked random everything” character. Youll get your ass kicked a few times, but youll never get stuck anywhere. The only part thats complex is the story IMO. There are dozens of alternative endings and secret story bits and hidden interactions between characters. Almost every quest, no matter how small, has multiple endings. You could probably sink 1000 hours into BG3 without going through most of the story content.

  • In my neck of the (american) woods, it usually is “free delivery! No fees if your meal is $15 or more!” according to their ads, but then they artifically raise the menu prices in the app. A meal might cost you $12 with tax at a burger place near me, but on ubereats / doordash that same meal is $19 because they raised the menu price. That way when you go to pay, it says there was “no extra fee”.

  • Depending on your state they can also purge the voter rolls and just unregister whomever they want at their whim. Ive had family members and friends get purged and, somehow, the notice that they were purged just magically never showed up in the mail, so they would go to vote and be sent away at the polls. As a result I have to manually recheck my registration before every single election. Each state is totally and completely different in this regard, you cant take any assumption from your home state and extrapolate it to others.

  • I agree careers get ruined more often over silly things now, but its not anywhere close to a modern issue. People have been getting some form of “cancelled” for pretty much all of time, sometimes for a good reason and sometimes for a bad reason. If you really live your life in constant terror over the idea, maybe you should become self-sufficient and move off the grid. Thats kinda the only solution to the problem. People are social animals and social animals sometimes make stupid social decisions such as “cancelling” one another and its just kinda unavoidable.

  • Forget everything you remember from 20 years ago; D&D basically reworked everything from back then lol. Now everybody from druids to clerics can cast weak spells (cantrips) endlessly, and the main thing about sorcerers is they can use “metamagic” to upgrade their spells slightly and they can cast any spell they know with their spell slots. they dont prepare spells into specific slots. However they do still only know a very small amount of spells relative to most classes.

  • Why are you proud of being “white” (a term that pretty much means nothing; arent albino african people white?") instead of being proud of your actual heritage? Why aren’t you just proud to be you, regardless of your race or sex? Why does/should your race or sex matter at all? Or better yet, why not just be proud of being a human in general? You seem to think an ideal society is one where we dont have to deal with any “isms” whether its racism, sexism, etc. Well, how do you expect to get there if people (including you) are proud of their tribalistic groupings?

  • Theoretically though, if youre already dead, would it even matter? To me, what youre describing would be the same as if, say, your grandkids or whatever descendants ended up finding a photoalbum filled with pics of you and letters you wrote to friends and family and such. There would be no outside context from you but it could still be a nice heirloom for your grandkids/great grandkids to remember you by and learn a bit about what type of person you were.

  • Its steam workshop, so if you are not familiar, all you need to do is own TTS on steam, download it, then go to the steam workshop page for TTS and then yeah its basically like you said from there. Any single thing you can find on the steam workshop can be downloaded for free and loaded into TTS. I have played hundreds (not even exaggerating) of games on TTS and I have never had an issue finding a tabletop game I was interested in on there.
