I find many Japanese game titles (in English) cringy. Especially the excessive use of certain words like “re”, “code” and “zero”. This seems to have gotten worse in recent years.
I guess it is supposed to be cool or edgy for some people.
Like it or hate it, it’s certainly an aesthetic.
I feel like it’s predominant in media which has a sci-fi premise, such as
.hack//SIGN
or
NieR Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139
Within that context it feels thematically fitting at least, so I can’t say I have anything against it.

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: [email protected]
I’m put-off by it enough to lose interest in the game before watching the trailer. I don’t want to have to consult a wiki to figure out the order of a series when it’s named like that
