Issue: Submitting a top-level comment seems to take me to the “single thread” view, rather than remain in the main view with all the other comments, plus mine. It doesn’t feel very intuitive or ergonomic.
Issue: clicking “reply” in a comment currently does not auto-focus the text box that appears. I did that and started typing and the page scrolled down when I pressed the space bar, which was rather confusing.
I actually disagree. Your comment is a good example. You state your case up front, add a bit of context, but then there are some screenshots that take up quite a bit of space. I do appreciate the possibility of voting on the comment without having to scroll all the way down to find the arrows, without gaining much in terms of understanding your message further.

Eu sei que há alguma aversão a posts feitos por bots, mas dá-me a sensação que não faz grande diferença quem é que inicia um post — desde que tenha interesse, a malta comenta e a discussão emerge. E com isso a comunidade vai ficando ativa e as pessoas começam a postar espontâneamente.
Penso que podia ser boa ideia experimentar com bots que criem posts com base em notícias de fontes pré-selecionadas (sem paywall, sem serem do Nónio, com cobertura de temas pouco batidos, jornalismo independente, etc.) Nem têm de ser notícias. Por exemplo episódios de podcasts como o Fumaça, o 45 graus ou o Inpertinente da FFMS também costumam ser bons. Ou videos de algum canal do YouTube, ou até sumários de links trending no masto.pt, enfim, pode-se pensar um pouco fora da caixa.
Aliás, que tal fazermos um levantamento de fontes que a comunidade gostaria de ver como origem de posts?

I see, makes sense. So if I get it correctly, the idea is to make it easier for new people to join the fediverse, and not so much to improve the experience for those of us already here (although it seems that is also a goal).
But why is that such a great benefit? We already have a myriad accounts for different services/platforms; would this be merely a marginal improvement over the current situation?
Eu nem sequer sabia que existia uma versão nativa. Experimentei o PWA e até gostei da interface, mas era muito lento a carregar no início. Vou tentar novamente com a app nativa.
IMO both of these ended up being poor names.
“Open source” can be co-opted to mean any project with public source code even if it’s not open contribution (think SQLite, and many of the projects effectively run by major tech corporations).
“Free software” falls victim to the eternal mixup with freeware, requiring the endless repetition of the “beer vs. speech” analogy.
I personally think “Libre software” is the term that best encapsulates the intended meaning while being unambiguous and not vulnerable to misinterpretation.
