Steam. Works on Linux.
I’ve used them and can find a lot of stuff that isn’t available on the more open seas, but maintaining ratio is a big issue, not sure if it’s my setup or the tracker itself, so I can’t download as much as I want to.
I think there is a way technically with something like trueimage or clonezilla, but I’ve never used it. Always thought of my VM as a learning tool, and then used what I learnt to fresh install on real hardware
Don’t wait. Experiment now in a VM to learn the basics.
I would love Elden Ring, but so would many of the others…
Optional. What fills me with hope is knowing there are still people like the OP who are willing to giveaway to those of us who missed so many good games.
Merry xmas
I’m not 100% sure if this meets any of your requirements but I always enjoyed homeworld can’t remember if I’ve ever run it on Linux since switching tho.
As to the other requirements, I don’t think I found it that easy to get into as it took a while to get into the whole 3D map thing, and the graphics may have aged
This is my biggest problem, but my eyesight is worse even with corrective glasses. I just listen a chapter at a time, it’s the only way I can do it.
Do I dare try this…
Wheel of time…maybe fantasy but still.
Firstly, forget the books
Secondly try to convince yourself that two or disparate storylines somehow will combine at some point to become meaningful.
Thirdly for some odd reason I still enjoy it
Sounds good, still not forgiven them for foundation, although if you forget the books it is quite an enjoyable story in its own right
Voting for Wool as it makes sense to read the book before checking out how AppleTV have (maybe) destroyed it
I killed scratch.
Have you ever been in the position where you complete some quest before you’ve actually been given it, and when you go to the quest giver they give you the quest and you immediately click back and complete the quest… well so far I’ve saved the girl at the druids grove without speaking to the mother and when I did finally speak to the parents I wasn’t handed the quest, I was rewarded for something that I wasn’t asked to do…now that has impressed me. This game is above and beyond anything I expected it to be
I also I noticed I have
–skip-launcher
In the box for launch options in steam.
I don’t have dotnet 6 installed either and running straight from Heroic fails every time. When added thru the steam client it works.
I installed with heroic Add non steam game Highlight bg3.exe or maybe dx version can’t remember now from bin directory “not launcher” Run with proton 8.0.3 I think Crashed first time but fine since
Software wise, anything without a demo. The support from companies is dire at the best of times and if something doesn’t work on your system your screwed. In shops you can test the suitability of something by testing it (sitting on a couch, laying on a bed) but with software they take your money and run.
Also anything abandoned is fair game.
