For anyone that stumbles on this, try ‘QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=Fusion QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb synology-drive autostart’ for your startup command. That worked for me.
OMG are you fucking kidding me!!! Your comment got me thinking. So I looked at my desktop to see what I had in the startup command and it was ‘synology-drive autostart’ instead of ‘synology-drive start’. #livinthatlinuxlife #killmenow
Sigh… Thank you!!!
I use a bash script because I don’t know of a way to start a program minimized to tray using the hyprland config. If there is a method of doing that, I’d be happy to give it a try.
Nova launcher - there isn’t a good one for one FOSS replacement. Every launcher I tried from fdroid has at least one shortcoming (if not more).
How do you get those inverted bottom corners on your Waybar?
Thanks for the suggestion. After getting some weird behavior with Appimage Launcher and reading this reddit thread, I decided to install pamac-flatpak from the AUR, but plan on leaving AUR dissabled on the app. So far so good. I think it’s a keeper.
I like the integration with Timeshift and the into packed interface with ability to click on details. On the downside, the themes are limited and it’s kind of hard to use for browsing apps that you might want to install.
In that case, any one stop shop on Arch that will search the Arch repo, the AUR, and Flathub?
Thanks for the link. That sounds like exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you.
Thanks for the recommendations and for sharing your wisdom. I’ll give them a shot.
Lawnchair and Neo Launcher are close seconds but, unfortunately, there is no one for one alternative. Just use a firewall to block Nova’s internet access.
I don’t recommend downloading from unofficial distrobution channels without verifying a hash. That said, why doesn’t Exodus give Linux users a PPA? Mac and Windows both have auto updates for the Exodus wallet.
Yeah, I just tried it out and it works really well. Even works with AnySoftKeyboard.
Is it working again with metamask?
Thanks for the suggestions. Do the IKEA bulbs work with HA out of the box or do they need an IKEA app?
The TitanX was always power hungry. Shortly after it was released, Nvidia released better GPUs and they got some criticism for the TitanX branding considering the newer cards were faster and ran cooler. I was disappointed because the newer cards came out a couple months after I picked up the TitanX.
Thank you for the suggestions. I’ll add these to my Christmas wish list.
That was fun and different. Thank you for the suggestion.
It’s a closed source luancher on Google Play. It works really well, but the developer recently sold out according to someone in this thread and it now contains trackers according to the Exodus app.
Doesn’t look like Hyperion is open source :(
Until there’s a FOSS version of Nova, I guess I’ll keep using Nova and have my firewall block its outgoing traffic.
