Statement by Fair Vote Canada on the recommendation by the Yukon Citizens’ Assembly for Alternative Vote:
Fair Vote Canada would like to recognize the hard work of the Yukon Citizens’ Assembly on Electoral Reform. We respect and support the deliberative process undertaken by citizens’ assemblies and we appreciate the time and commitment of each member.
We also recognize the difficult considerations involved when a recommendation is to be put to a referendum. As an organization for proportional representation, Fair Vote Canada (and its chapters) cannot support the Citizens’ Assembly’s recommendation for Alternative Vote. As a winner-take-all system, Alternative Vote does not reflect the values Fair Vote Canada campaigns for: an electoral system in which the seats in a legislature more closely reflect the popular vote and almost every vote counts.
Its Alternative Vote not Single Transferable Vote in terms of ranked-choice voting.
I would say both as Peertube needs an app and instances need to remain up and running.

Yeah they need to improve quite a bit because the platform is harder to use in comparison to Lemmy and Mastodon.
California should shift to plant-based agriculture, install bidets to reduce water needed to grow trees, install water leak detectors along water pipelines, grow produce intended for the climate and implement more rain water collection systems as there are many efficiencies that could be made without resorting the need of water from other jurisdictions
Antweiler added that there is a lot that California can and should do to manage their water sources, including the use of water in agriculture.
One suggestion I would make to California and BC is to limit animal agriculture water use as 1kg of beef uses 15,415 litres of water to produce.

You’re thinking short term as more people would have access to work and healthcare services the less strain they will have on their mental health from being excluded.
I would say in that case we should instead provide housing for all our vulnerable members of society with a round the clock healthcare team as they do in Finland. They got down to 4000 unhoused people recently.
As we could build 4 storey apartments under social housing to end homelessness in BC.
We need free transit to improve service and the loading times.
This will also help unhoused people and people with substance use disorders find work and get to services they need.
To help fund this foreign tourists should pay an entry tax depending how long they stay.
