I’ve tried the vision pro and the quality is definitely impressive even compared to other headsets, but the quest three does colour passthrough well enough that unless you have zero interest in games and money is no object, it makes no sense to buy the vision pro.

I’ve looked into those a little but they seem to be priced similar to larger models. And with the smaller size it won’t fit pots, oven dishes etc anyway. Just my plates and some cutlery which is the easiest part, especially as I live alone.

In my experience they don’t brown as well in butter. I suspect it may have to do with the water in it getting absorbed, so they don’t get as hot.

The ones that flip and stay in place are fine. Not a fan of the ones on a little plastic ribbon.
Microwaving chocolate gives you the same result for much less effort. You just need to do it in short increments. No more then 30 seconds to start and down to 10 seconds once it’s nearly done.

Have we gotten past the point if irreparable damage? Yes. Does that mean it’s pointless to reduce further damage as much as possible? Not even a little.
I could buy a new pixel 4a for under €200. On ifixit a new screen is €100, battery €40, usb-c port €30. After shipping costs and paying someone to do the work it would be more expensive and the front camera lens would still be broken. Fixing it really isn’t worth it, and if I’m buying new I might as well go for an upgraded model that’s gonna get updates for longer.
I considered it, but the battery life has become terrible too. I’m pretty sure the front camera lens is shattered too, nooit just the screen. I could live with just fixing the port if I wasn’t going on a big international vacation later this year. I really need a good battery for that, and at that point I’d rather just buy something new.
Ok so we can’t use ground new because of bias. Where do you suggest we go to get our news then. I agree that there will always be some bias but surely a system that gives you news from so many sources will be less biased than sticking to just one or two sources
