A geologist and archaeologist by training, a nerd by inclination - books, films, fossils, comics, rocks, games, folklore, and, generally, the rum and uncanny… Let’s have it!
Elsewhere:
I saw that in the cinema but was underwhelmed.
We also found that this issue comes with a bonus gift – Obi-Wan Kenobi from 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter
Hello there. General Kenobi.
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
Get a chef who graduated from a renowned culinary school.
That’s what a friend of mine does - he is rarely home because the rich family that employs him want him on hand 24/7 and they pay accordingly. They get top notch food whenever they want it and are pretty safe from getting their food spat in. The Hindujas have probably ingested a lot of phlegm over the years. Should be good practice if they ever actually end up in prison.
The only thing proving otherwise is that there can’t be anyone behind such a push. The right have proven they can’t put up a unified front against a stiff breeze
The Tory party are tearing each other apart like rabid hyenas but there’s more going on in the right than them. There’s the Tory press, lobbyists and other interest groups (like those run out if Tufton Street) and other state actors with interest in leaving the country in disarray. They’ve largely given up on this election but they will already be planning ahead. Voter suppression and spinning the take that this is a vote against the Tories not a vote for Labour and that could leave Starmer vulnerable down the line.
I reckon someone has been doing private polling and whispering in Farage’s ear about the chance of becoming PM next election. That’s the real danger.
Or an entrance to Hell was found at Creswell Crags.
The Catalogue of UK Entrances to Hell screams “Bad Gateway”.
No reason we can’t thrown in a tune. Or Hale and Pace.
But now his family is saying it didn’t happen?
No they don’t:
The family members of the youth alleged that the other party had got the operation done by misleading them.
It’s in a number of Indian news reports including India Today and The Hindustan Times.
All may not be as it seems (they could have had the sex change operation and the family forced them to say they were tricked into it, for example) but that’s only going to emerge after the police investigation and possibly a trial.
This is a real pity as Marvel needs to expand the horror side if their offering to keep their output fresh. We’ve already got Man-Thing, Elsa Bloodstone and Werewolf by Night, throw in Blade, Ghost Rider (one of the younger ones with Cage returning to pass the torch) and you have your Midnight Sons ready to roll. You can bounce that into Marvel Zombies (as they did with Marvel Zombies 4). As Marvel Zombies 3 includes Machine Man and leads into 4, we are almost there for Nextwave. Create a separate bit if the MCU for it, as they did for GotG so someone can noodle away on it without too much studio interference.
Really looking forward to this - hope it gets shown in UK cinemas.
There’s probably an acronym or a law that covers it.
It may be the update applies the rate limit to everyone not just bots. We’re adjusting it now.
HAIL Satan indeed. 🤘 Also Eris and Discordia as a different type of devilment is at work.
Awangistan?
It said microplastics.
Excellent, it’s the one I voted for.
Yes, there’ a 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition out, although most of the extras aren’t that worth having (it doesn’t even have a booklet) and they’ll, hopefully, make a standard 4k at some point.
They are pumping it full of plastic.
I saw it in the cinema and a number of people gasped “no!”. I thought this would be a good way of changing the status quo and putting UNIT and the Doctor on a back foot, so they have to fight back harder (and a less competent UNIT would be more interesting for a spin-off). Then you see the great wave of dust wiping everyone out and you realise they are going to come up with some way to resolve this by the end of the episode. A real rollercoaster ride, unfortunately one leading to disappointment.
Yes, the more my thoughts crystallised discussing the episode, the more I realised how much I disliked it.
