I bought a new frame a few weeks ago to build a road/gravel touring bike upon. I normally ride a CAAD12, which is great for good roads, but not so great when the going gets rough, and it doesn’t have fittings for racks (which isn’t surprising, it’s a race-oriented bike).
On a recent (car) trip to the western US, I encountered many roads that weren’t paved and would have been happier with larger tires on my bike, plus I want to do some trails. A local frame company had their steel touring frames on sale, so I grabbed one.
Now I have a million decisions to make on how to build it…lol.
