This sounds great! But what is physically stopping the thief to just remove the sticker?
Is it commonly known that a bike without a sticker is not trustworthy?
Even then, just tear of the sticker and request a new one?
I think the idea is that anyone could scan the sticker and check if the bike is flagged as stolen. Left over sticker material would be a huge tell something is off.
