If your hot water line comes from [wherever, in my case the basement] and passes by your shower before leading to a sink, it’s likely that the water by your shower will also be hot once it comes out hot at the sink.
Turn it on in the sink, then it may only take like a second in the shower (if you’re lucky with your plumbing layout)
