I’m glad your department is using them responsibly in your neighborhood, but in some departments/towns, they are purposefully set up to catch people not really breaking the law as a source of revenue. Here’s another example.
The speed trap they rotate on my street has drastically decreased the speed people drive through this residential neighborhood.
Haven’t heard a single neighbor complain about the trap.
