Once upon a time my daughter had eye appointments at the RCH every 3 months. Every 2nd visit there was eye drops involved. Usually she was very good at this but one time I was in a consultanting room and she refused to take them (little bugger) and a clown who was clearly going for a break stopped in and asked if he could help. After a few laughs we got the drops in and I mouthed “thank you” and he put his hand on my shoulder and said “you’re welcome” and I’ve never ever forgotten that. ♥ The staff and many volunteers really do a wonderful job there.
