I’m seeing efforts to restrict how municipal governments can operate education and transportation infrastructure. In Austin TX, the state government threatened to take over the municipal police department. In Houston TX, they removed the Independent School District and installed their own flacks. Texas law prohibits state agencies and political subdivisions (“Governmental Entities”) from contracting with businesses that boycott energy companies, discriminate against firearm entities or associations, or boycott Israel, which has an enormous impact on the statewide financial system.
I wish it meant minimal regulation.
