I’m being pedantic, but mainly cause I’m not sure of how to properly address expats from other countries. John Oliver is American now. He got his citizenship and even voted which is more than I can say about some of my family/peers.
Is he still a British comedian when he’s an American comedian? Do I have to state it weird like American comedian with a British background? I normally wouldn’t care, but he seemed to care so I am mentioning that he is in fact American. Thanks.
