Could just be a valve too. Those are much cheaper.
Had one go years ago. A stream was pissing out the side from the relief pipe.
Cost about $200 to fix.
I can only hope that it’s lucky. Been experiencing like a water hammer noise for awhile and maybe the pipe at the back leading into the water unit finally burst.
If it’s the tank that’s leaking, best to replace it. Not sure its worth fixing.
As an owner it should cost around $2k for a new one. At least that’s what I paid 3 years ago.
I’m not sure where or what it’s leaking from. There was a substantial amount of water flowing.
