So standard was table plus one first basket, number of people at the table for subsequent baskets. I wanted you to have the bread, I also wanted tips from my other tables. People underestimate how long it takes to grab something and how long that can feel for another table who hasn’t been greeted (that’s a good 2 minutes). It’s not your fault, but it’s stressful.
Edit: I want to add a little perspective. When I left Olive Garden I worked at a restaurant where the only thing unlimited was water and handled up to 16 tables. My section at Olive Garden was 3 during peak hours, up to about 6 off hours.
