My wife and I were raised evangelical but left the church and later deconstructed. We hide that from their family. Their mother literally told them she’s having nightmares about not being able to spend eternity in heaven with them. My wife finally put together why their family is so worried about it all of a sudden. It’s 100% the Zion shit. They genuinely believe the end times are coming.
