IIRC after he got Covid and had a pretty terrible bout with it he actually changed his tune and did something about it. Trump was getting experimental treatments and could barely stand/breathe (remember that ridiculous “show of strength” he did from a balcony?), refused to correct course.
To be fair, at least he asked experts when he wasn’t sure. It could be worse.
