I really dislike the caltrop d4s. Numbering styles aside, they just roll so poorly compared to all other polyhedral dice. I really wish that either “crystal” style or “wormhole” style d4s become more commonplace.
I had never heard of one either, so I looked it up and found nothing by the name. The closest thing I could find to the description is these, and I’ve got to say, I like how they look. I’m curious if this is actually the type they were talking about though.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant by “wormhole” style! Those, or the crystal style, are significantly better d4s IMO
This is why I use 8- or 12-sided D4s.
What is wormhole style?

I guess they’re usually called “rounded d4s” but I think they look like two of those classic spacetime wormhole depictions put together.
