The entire floor or just a specific place? If it is a specific spot there could be an issue there you are not aware of. I had a dog who was obsessed with a corner of the window frame, it turned out there was some rotten wood. She pretty much destroyed a section until all the rotten wood had been removed, then lost interest (and then I had the window repaired, there was an issue with the flashing that allowed water to get through).
Scraping his teeth on 2 spots. I’ve tried putting Vicks Vapordrop ointment on it but it seems to wear off and he has another go. I’d put a rug down but he ate a hole in my doormat rug last week….

Try putting a citrus scent around that area. Should deter your dog, hopefully for awhile. Hopefully doesn’t go to another spot after that.
