This game heavily romanticizes the nomads. They don’t live that way because it’s a good life, but because it beats living homeless on the streets. So I don’t see it as V’s best life by far, but if it’s your thing that’s cool.

It’s their sense of family, camaraderie and respect that I feel V lacks and needs. Everyone in Night City is “me myself and I”, I feel, and it feels good to be a part of something different.

Well said, it’s hard to argue with that. I guess I just didn’t like it added to the game.
