I don’t think it’s morally lazy at all. People in my social circle pretty much all use Discord. And it’s not easy to convince people to switch over to a platform that no one else uses, especially when the service they are already using works perfectly fine for what they’re trying to do and is free.

That’s what happened when everyone left ICQ for MSN Messenger.
Was hard to convince people to stay, didn’t work.
Heck, getting some people onto discord was hard enough.
