Trump will make history as the 45th and now 47th president, NBC News projects, saying he will fix an ailing country and despite warnings he will rule as an authoritarian.
Is this not the most frustrating thing in the world?
These people want to demonize the policies of the Republicans but when the Dems engage in the exact same policies in their neverending shift to the right, you’re given every excuse or justification for why they’re neccesary and called a trouble maker or shill for pointing them out, and given the most condescending “bOtH SiDeS!” responses.
Now, this has cost us yet another election, and these people want to blame us for it rather than looking in the mirror. Turns out trying to out-fascist the fascists isn’t a winning election strategy.
You do get that they can’t just take them to the border in a bus and drop them off on the other side, right? You need to make lots of deals with lots of different governments.
That takes a long time.
Meanwhile, all those people that are rounded up need to be detained long term. Especially the ones whose countries won’t take them back.
And to do that you need some sort of detention camp to concentrate those people in.
The fact that you either don’t know the difference between a concentration camp and a death camp or are pretending you don’t does not speak highly of you.
I know the difference, but it is you who don’t seem to…
Listen, I’ve had these meaningless debates with you before, and last time, it ended with you taking it personally and banning me, so I’ve got very little interest in these discussions anyway.
Please tell me the difference between a camp where people of a specific group are detained in large numbers in a very small area long-term, which is what will be necessary, and a concentration camp.
Because so far, your argument seems to be that it won’t be called a concentration camp, so it isn’t a concentration camp.
Are you talking about deportation centers? The US already have those…
Enough to process 20 million people in a short amount of time?
I guess they’ll have to build more of them…
Which would essentially be concentration camps
In a sense yea, and guess what, these Detention Centers operated and expanded under the Biden administration. Crazy world, huh?

I wonder what the term is for such a place is?
The term in the US is ‘Deportation Centers’…
The Nazis also had some creative terms when it came to genocide.
Do you reall mean to compare these Detention Centers with Death Camps?
