Well maintained ones should continue to hold their value until oil prices and taxes make them out-of-reach for the average citizen.
Let us not forget that 80 percent of vehicles are bought in the second-hand market… Nobody has raised the prospect of killing that market off yet in a policy sense (of which I am aware).
