I think the name change was a good idea. The fragrance is better served by an association the color than the Duke Ellington jazz tune. Especially because the marketing talked about the feeling of leaving a blues club.
I think it does a good job of the “leaving the jazz club” vibe. I don’t think it’s trying to imitate it (there isn’t really a smell to jazz clubs, except maybe cigarettes outside?), just trying to capture the feeling.
Indigo Mood would have been another good rename, but this came out shortly after Mood Indigo.
