I’m always surprised with all the pretty evil shit actually happening (with pretty obvious signs pointing to certain companies) that some idiots that want to attack said “evil” miss them all and go for actual good causes using the most flimsiest excuses.
That’s called the Argument from Silence, and it’s a fallacy. Basically, “Why aren’t they saying they’re not part of the government. It must therefore follow that they are!”
And the shit bag that’s doing it (DDoS and backdooring) is under the false presumption that the Internet archive is affiliated with the US government.
