My 1060 6gb still rocks 99% of games at max settings. It’s just a struggle to get Cyberpunk to hit 60fps in 1080p and games that use RT that it has trouble with.
I thought I made a mistake buying a 2070, but then covid shortages and machine learning chips in the card made it worthwhile. With major warfare on the horizon, now might also be a good time to get one. If Taiwan gets invaded, it might be impossible to upgrade for a while.
Right!?! Getting a GPU just before prices went nuts was good timing. I also got a nice used car just before used cars went insane mid-covid (certified pre-owned luxury was a good deal for a lot of car for me).
I’m definitely gonna look into a new GPU within the next month or two now that you mention that aspect. 2080 TI ain’t quite holding up to newer games at 4K
Ya’ll had money for current GPUs?
crawls along with 2080 TI
I gave myself a treat and buyed a used 1070ti last month. Before a had the same 960 for like 8 years.
It’s crazy how much the 10 series can do if you don’t mind 1080p low-med settings. It really was a great value.
10xx was great.
I ended up giving my old one away, but I could have resold it for more than I initially paid for, which is completely nuts.
I had a 980, upgraded to an open box 2080 TI from Micro Center for $800 in 2020. Might save up for an AMD 7900 XTX.
I just did this same upgrade! Lol
Is the beast upgrade posible for a ddr3!

cries in 1080ti
RX 6400, only plays Diablo 2.
Hey that’s a banger though. Could maybe even handle Warcraft 3.

I’m more interested in getting a new cpu, as I still have 1080p monitors (I’m broke and don’t care about graphics much at this point)
