Religion and I are incompatible, as I refuse to follow any rules that say I can’t abuse my body. I’m open to the idea that there could be a god… but if so, they likely aren’t the loving variety.
I follow my ideals and values. Sometimes they align with religion but also I know human nature is to control and the easiest way is through faith. I just wonder for how long they have been using religion to control. Since the beginning???
Seems extremely likely. I’d guess that or that religion was initially founded because people couldn’t explain why things were happening. Or it could just have come from the purely philosophical argument of what happens before/after death.
