The biblical story of the nativity is so unbelievable and counterfactual that legitimate biblical scholars cite it as evidence that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person because “why would you make up such a ridiculous story to get someone born in the city of David if they weren’t a real person that just did not completely fulfilling the prophecy. A made up person would just be born there.”
