Last year I gifted a news junky friend a year subscription to the New York Times. That was cool but they are more interested in Australian stories. Normally they browse the ABC and BBC apps.

    I find them too political and a touch too ‘edgy’ for my tastes. They’d rather blow wide a big scandal against some politician or rich than report on anything that would actually affect me.

    I’m glad they exist, but I’m not their target demographic.

    I’ve been a subscriber for 4 years now, I find it interesting and relevant, and they don’t seem to have favorites amongst the political parties. They are mostly politics focused tho.
