Take these kind of charts with a grain of salt.

As someone who has several tattoos it’s different for each person. Personally the worst pain I felt was on a specific part of my wrist and I have tattoos in my armpits.

A friend of mine says their worst tattoo was the one on their ass and another friend says the worst was her thigh.

It’s generally accurate but everyone’s different.

Scarring is also a factor. Scar tissue reacts differently than normal skin. Sometimes it can be less sensitive and other times they can be more sensitive.

Yea definitely different for different people. I have both my feet covered, thighs, calves and two sleeves and by far most painful for me was inner bicep. It blew up to the point where I could almost not move my arms too. Worth it for tough stickers though.

We need to take all of those guides with grain of salt. It’s pretty common for them to not be that true. The “cool” part describes the looks of those guides more than anything.

    Reminds me of this:

I would also like to point out the humour in me finding that on 9gag with some other watermark.

I have a palm tattoo, and I would definitely give that a red. I dread going to get it renewed.

WRONG!! The genitals aren’t quite as sensitive to pain as many other regions. There are different kinds of nerve endings, and while that region is filled with quite a few, most don’t respond to your brain as pain when triggered.

Sure, the region is going to be VERY off-putting to many, and it’s absolutely capable of feeling pain, but it’s still interesting how things play out.

Interesting that 1) donating blood uses a red spot, and 2) the colors don’t change continuously (there are blue-orange jumps skipping yellow, and yellow-red jumps skipping blue).

The problem with these charts is that it all varies so much from person to person. I would put the entirety of the waist to the back of the knees as red. Nothing sucked to me as much as the back of the thighs and butt.

Same here, and on the side of my stomach. Everyone thought I was crazy for not reacting much but now seeing this chart it’s not that bad it’s just one step above fairly painless
