Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is out now! It's time to step into Pandora and discover what becoming Na'vi truly means. You'll play as a child of two worlds,...
Anyone played this enough to compare it to something else? I’ve never seen the movies but I usually don’t mind a generic open world rpg-lite if there’s plenty to do.
Played it at launch on PC and finished it, think I spent about 30 or so hours. It is a very enjoyable game. It’s visually beautiful, traversal is fun and fluid, and the combat can be tricky but never hard enough to put me off. Always felt rewarding to get a good run of clean stealth kills. Story I can take or leave, but I don’t play that style of game for the story. I don’t believe you will miss anything having not seen the movies.
Got a bit samey towards the end as most of these open world style games do. I’ll be revisiting it for the DLC for sure.
If you enjoyed FarCry 3 or 4 (or just enjoy that “conquer the map by capturing the base” style gameplay) I say it is worth picking up. The only downside (on PC) is the Ubi launcher. Could really do with a steam release.
Thanks for the info! I might check it out then, seeing as you mentioned FC3/4. Not my favorite games but they can be enjoyable when I want to turn my brain off and stealth kill across the land.
I think you’re in luck on your final point. This trailer is for the steam release this week, I think.
