We are doing our best to appeal the Reddit ban. In the meantime, we thought it might be nice to have a new safe space to snark and have made lemmy.ca our new home.

There is a new private Reddit group The Birds a Liar-a link to request to join is in the Jillian Harris snark post “we are alive”. Apparently previous pages tried to cut and paste the rules from the old site and this one is brand new. We’ll see what happens. Good to have this “Lemmy” as a back up.
And it’s gone. Glad we have Lemmy.
Kind of backfires when you try to take down a reddit sub and end up with MORE content about yourself out in the world, not less…😆
I think going after the Reddit group when MSM has just started looking at Reddit as a legit place where people post opinions was a pretty stupid move on Birdie’s part

I got approved like 26 mins ago and just went to look and it’s banned. 😪

I just got accepted and it’s already banned. Thank god we have Lemmy. I don’t think we’re going to be back on Reddit for awhile.
