I think that the part that was false was that Google deleted bookmarks. whereas these are something called “saved items.”
People were led to believe that these functioned like bookmarks, which to be honest is understandable when I see screenshots of how it’s implemented into the design of Chrome.
I just don’t use Chrome, and I consider any interaction with any Google service suspect.
