Er ist der König der Doppelmoral. Hab vor ner Weile mal eine Reaction gesehen, in der es um Polizisten ging, die Autofahrer kontrollieren.

“Ja ist prinzipiell richtig, dass die das machen” jemand lässt seinen Motor extrem aufheulen und wird angehalten “Das ist doch totale Schikane jetzt, was soll der Scheiß?”

Da hat er sich mal wieder richtig schön entlarvt. Auf mich wirkt er allgemein extrem unehrlich, ich glaube was er wirklich denkt, sagt er oft nicht um weiter die Twitchkohle abzugreifen. Aber seine Grundeinstellung zu gewissen Themen ist so flach, das bekommt man auch so mit.

Grundsätzlich eine gute Folge mit einem wichtigen Thema, denn dass Steam hardcore unmoderiert ist, stimmt schon. Aber ich finde, in diesem ganzen Shurjoka-Beef gibt es doch auf beiden Seiten nur Verlierer. Sie kam mir etwas zu gut weg.

Z.B. hat sie mal KuchenTV verklagt, weil der Energy-Dosen im Hintergrund aufm Regal stehen hatte, sie hat sich in diese ganze Sache mindestens genau so reingesteigert wie ihre Gegner und auf beiden Seiten will niemand aufhören. Das sind einfach zwei Bubbles, die ihre Communities gegeneinander aufhetzen, da ist einer nicht besser als der andere. Nur mit dem Unterschied, dass Shurjoka immer behauptet, sie wäre links.

Warum Alicia Joe namedropped wurde, hab ich auch nicht verstanden. Ich schau die eigentlich ganz gerne und die passt nicht wirklich in die Runde. Vllt. weil sie bei KuchenTV vor kurzem mal ein Interview hatte.

Ich denke, Shurjoka ist nicht die beste Wahl, um einen Beitrag über Hass in Gaming-Communities einzuleiten. Den Kritikpunkt, dass sie kaum Spiele zockt und dafür trotzdem einen Preis erhalten hat, halte ich für durchaus valide, auch wenn der im Beitrag so ins Lächerliche gezogen wurde.

Yes I bought it ~3 years ago directly from Lenovo and the rubber feet look just like the ones in that photo.

I have an L390 Yoga (i7) and these feet are indeed way too large.

The device is painful to use even with the correct feet, though - at least if you’re using Windows. It’s constantly overheating, because the cooling system is just reused from the L380 and can’t handle the heat of my i7 8565U processor. But hey - at least the marketing people were able to put “4.6GHz” into the specs.

I have to undervolt the CPU to make it run cool and prevent thermal throttling, which is not possible anymore if you’re running a current Windows version.

That thing is probably the last Thinkpad I’ve ever bought, to be honest.

Also, if you’re wondering what that port with network symbol is, it appears to be a proprietary connector used on ThinkPads requiring an “Ethernet Extension” adapter to be usable.

Yup, the port is called “MicroLAN” and the adapter was 30-50€ back when the device was new. It’s of poor quality (the rubber of the cable on mine is turning into a sticky mess) and entirely passive.

Lenovo must’ve looked at Apple’s accessory profits and thought they wanted to make money off of crap, too.

KDE. Been using it since v3, tried various other systems like Gnome, Enlightenment, XFCE etc. and I’ve always been coming back to it. KDE just feels very intuitive and easy to use.

I’m in the same boat. 35 and half of them are already gone, my mum had them all removed when she was 40. My dentist is not crazy enough to take them out all at once though, that sounds insanely painful. I hope you’ll get through it soon.

My morning starts at 12am12pm. God, it’s so awesome to work in the tech industry. I’m just wired like that and always have been. Back in school I was not compatible with the system of getting up early and often missed the first two hours.

Klingt für mich nicht nach einer wirklich positiven Nachricht. Mindestlohn ist eben das was der Begriff schon aussagt: Das absolute Minimum. Die Gehälter hier im Osten sind ein Witz und sehr viele Menschen kratzen am Existenzminimum.
