that’s why you have different drinking age and buying alcohol in a store age. for example where i live you can drink when you’re 18 (which is considered adult for all other purposes) and buy alcohol from a store when you’re 20.
what’s the usual age when people start drinking in the US? i’m assuming it’s way younger than the actual legal drinking age

it would be nice if they had merged them together in wider but more informative categories though
the react framework and similar frameworks tend to make the page not work at all without JS. it is however still possible, by using Server Side Rendering, where the page is generated on the server side and then only updated in the client instead of needing to be generated from scratch in the browser. this also has the advantage of loading faster for users with slow internet

same here! the labels aren’t the important part, it’s often easier to focus on the specifics first. i’ve currently settled on the non-binary label as a way to not decide, since it can basically mean anything and the label is likely to change in the future when i know more about myself

a state doesn’t have a mind of its own, it consists of people and those people are often power-hungry and do actively want to suppress dissent regardless of what would be good for the state. the whole point of socialism is to dismantle hierarchies, but by placing a powerful leader without accountability on the top you have undermined the whole concept
maybe cia actions were what caused them to be authoritarian, but that doesn’t excuse their actions in any way. the moment they became authoritarian, cia had already defeated socialism
suppressing “dissent” in the form of e.g. refusing to follow laws about distribution of resources (within reason) is one thing, but suppressing dissenting voices is a whole different thing altogether and those two shouldn’t be lumped together in one category. the former is a part of the normal job of a state while the latter is authoritarianism
