There sure are a lot of “Google enshittifies Google” articles lately.
They are trying to keep up with Microsoft.
But do they find it tasty?
Yes, exclamation is fine (or whatever is the official way, I think I saw community links starting with !@
?)
Oh, and one other thing I just remembered I’d love to see in Sync - Crossposting. Right now if I want to crosspost, I need to leave the app.
I’m not interested in cloud gaming but I don’t see anything bad (or ironic?) about this.
Ability to copy community’s link in Lemmy format
Ability to link/reference communities in a comment using symbol (you press
and start typing community’s name and it drops down a list to select one). Not sure how viable to implement this would be, sounds hard… 🥹
Similar as above - ability to call a Lemmy user via symbol and get a drop down of usernames, starting with the ones commenting on the same link? (Lower priority than linking communities)
Lemmy syntax to do these things is super weird and would be really helpful if Sync helped automating it.
Other than that - props and thanks to the devs for making this awesome app. Wish other apps had so many customization options and put user comfort first. Those “little” things like, for example, ability to search through options or even directly link to specific options are super cool! And the fact that you ask users what they’d like to see next is just an icing on the cake 😊

Not sure if I understand what you mean - TVP app and websites also count towards Internet traffic. Pubs and restaurants were full for the games but they too often used TVP app or website.
Not sure how to interpret this. In Poland you can watch Euro in an app, so this should count towards increased traffic. Although during both Poland’s games so far, servers couldn’t handle the traffic and went down. What does the 12% mean in that case?
You’re asking people who don’t care, who don’t use the internet the same way we do, to suddenly care enough to take manual action outside of their knowledgebase amd comfort zone
If they don’t care about ads then they won’t care if those ads are private or not.
When everyone start using adblockers then it will go away and companies will have to come with new business models. I have been using adblockers since the first adblock was released and I don’t see ads so it’s up to the people. Better invest in/support ways to block ads.
donair can easily run you 18 francs and a real meal will cost you 100+.
What the fuck…??? 😲
That is hilarious but too much effort. A simple ‘Fuck off’ should suffice.
This is mostly because people are dumbasses
Yes, they went on life-threatening journey because “god”.
humans running Saudia Arabia who allowed this to happen.
Grown up humans are allowed to make their own decisions.
Sounds like you’re more interested in politics than preventing the disease and saving lives.
Wish there was an underwater camera to film what’s happening there.
Here’s the context from the linked article under that “woke reviewers” sentence:
And a follow-up:
I kind of agree with him. I initially didn’t want to play the game because of all the bugs people were posting on reddit and because of reviews saying the game is average and pointing out some dialogs that were supposed to be bad or cringe.
Played it later when it came to PS+ and the game was amazing! The bugs had been fixed by then, and the dialogs were actually very good. The supposed bad dialogs from reviews were taken out of context to look bad.
