Lenin makes kulaks seethe even a century after his death
Y’know, for a national symbol, it looks like some sort of exotic ham radio antenna that got wrecked in a windstorm.
As a symbol, it lacks both the tight branding of, say, the hammer-and-sickle, or the over-the-top pomposity of the classic “Lions with shields! Dragons! Two-headed eagles!” heraldry.
They could have at least put together a replacement ststue that fit the proportions of the base.
A statue of what though? I think this trident thing is exactly the right symbol to represent the anonymous historical void that is the source and the sink of this regime

To the left a statue of the great Lenin. Sorrounded by healthy city greenery.
To the right a radio antenna sticking out of a heap of concrete that looks like a horde of birds shat all over it. The city has devoured almost all greenery and the remains look half dead.
I don’t think that’s a rádio antenna but a nazi/Ukrainian symbol.
I tried to present the right one in the most positive light possible.
Ignoring the context, the one on the right looks absolutely pathetic. It would have been better to remove the whole thing.

They replaced Lenin with a TV antenna?!
The trees were unironically larger and greener under the USSR
It looks apocalyptic
