Fine I’ll add to the discourse. Not all cereals are as sugary as people are saying. Cheerios only have a couple grams of sugar per serving, and you’re probably eating two servings or less. Only issue with the comparison is you don’t suspend dog food in a liquid like you do with cereal. And you need that (soy) milk for protein.
Agreed, but as somebody who makes a conscious rule to only buys cereals with <6g of sugar per 30g (a pretty easy-to-clear bar), I have to rule out about 80% of breakfast cereals that my stores stock.
