Defense companies in China and Russia are mainly state owned so are less prone to the commercial pressures of those in the West.

Even the WSJ is admitting capitalism can’t keep pace with state-directed production, especially not at the scale of China and Russia combined. There may still be some hope left that the “realists” prevail and avoid starting WW3.

Watching the west discover that the material reality actually matters has been the most hilarious thing over the past two years. All of a sudden these people are realizing that being able to make actual physical things is really important when you find yourself in competition with other countries.
