Just from people online saying the anime has adapted 2/3 of the content so far. And with the season being 24 eps total, it only makes sense that it needs another 12 to finish.

We’re finally gonna see Helck and Alicia meet. Knowing that the hero binding can be broken, I wonder if they’ll manage to save her in the finale or if we are going to have another tragedy. Poor Helck has been through so much, he deserves a win.
