Hey guys,
how to find out why Sonarr can’t send test message via Gotify? I’m getting "Unable to send test message " in logs. I’m using discord notifications with no problem.
I tried moving Gotify in the same docker stack as my arr apps. Gotify is running behind gluetun just to make it available on the same network (maybe not necessary?). I have opened port for Gotify (8099) in UFW. I can send msg to Gotify using Android phone.
While discord is working fine, I’m trying to move away from it. If there is any alternative to Gotify please let me know. I’m running docker containers on Debian host.
thank you
edit: If I try to open Sonarr console and do curl -v http://192.168.100.40:8099/message?token=AOhF2MthB0V1IhV its just hanging and then console closes (using protainer)
So weird, I couldn’t make a post before I removed string which I added later with edit. I had that curl command in brackets for Code
Don’t use Curl Just use the IP or domai it asks for then your token.
Mine works without issue.I was trying curl just to see can Sonarr talk to Gotify. Using command without curl doesnt work “No such file or directory”. I was adding connection in Sonarr by entering IP and token, but then I got an error that is visible in logs from main post.
They told me on Sonarr discord that its probably something with docker networks, curl command proved that these 2 can’t talk to each other.
Well, I was wrong in the last sentence, Gotify can access Sonarr, but Sonarr can’t access Gotify. I even tried creating new docker network and joined with both containers, but that didn’t help
After many random attempts to solve this I finally got it working!! I had to use docker IP address like http://IP:80 in Sonarr Connect interface instead of the usual IP i use on my network. Also had to join same docker network
