I made the mistake of listening to NPR this morning. Apparently “From the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free” is hate speech.

Went to a march for Palestine yesterday. I’m in a pretty progressive city, but it was still surprising just how many people showed up and how many bystanders showed their support. There are thousands of people marching every day for Palestine all over the country and the media is just ignoring it.

There must’ve been millions out on the street throughout the world this weekend alone. Support is overwhelming. If only it could bring us further that we are today.

One of our senior party figures will soon release a book called Mutiny about the Global South getting freed from the Western hegemony and how that’s a GOOD thing. We had a discussion about it today at my local action group and one of my comrades got sort of mad about it, asking how we could support orgs like BRICS when India for example is a right wing capitalist state. Luckily other comrades and myself were able to tell her how critical support works but I don’t think she fully agrees.

The book will be translated in 10 different languages so I will see if I can share it here as well.

I got called a softie by a woman for drinking tea today. Tea. And this isn’t the first time for drinking tea either lol.

People and their views on masculinity keep on being insane.

When you’re so guilty about the genocide you committed 80 years ago, you blindly support another one

It’s not guilt, and it’s not blind. It’s a clear eyed, earnest desire to carry forward the national history of ethnic cleansing and settler colonialism.

I am currently engaging in a “debate” with a genuine psychopath on Twitter. So we’re talking about the idea of a draft, he says his own brother said he wouldn’t do it, so he would drag him to the authorities and force him to go. So we get to talking, me trolling mostly, he says his raised the guy and is a vet and if a draft comes, we should all “do our part”. At this point, I started pressing him more, then he says he loves the US more than his brother. THEN he says he never admitted to loving the kid at all.

So these are the kinds of people that want boots on the ground over in isr@el, unfeeling sociopaths with a single minded loyalty to the state and nothing else.

it’s been wild watching my local news station invent reality the last few years. First with running non-stop pro-Ukraine coverage and now doing the same with pro-Israel coverage, with absolutely zero pushback against any of the claims no matter how ridiculous they are. I watched coverage of the recent released hostages and they kept talking about how horrible the hostages were treated despite all the video and statements from the hostages saying they were treated well. Also they now just refer to any and all Palestinian resistance fighters as “terrorists.” At this point it feels like I’m living in a parody.

You know what’s really fucked up? The Pro-Israel coverage has been so omnipresent and over the top that I’ve started to think the pro-Ukraine stuff couldn’t have been as bad.

That’s no accident. I’m convinced that the pro-israel media blitz is partly to deflect attention from the ongoing US defeat in Ukraine.

GDP is the economist’s version of fantasy football. As in, it’s all fun and games until you start thinking that your imaginary numbers qualify you to go against the real thing, be it an economy or actual professional athletes.

My guess is that someone mentioned it at some point, but I really haven’t seen anyone talking aobut how that bullshit about palestinians beheading babies invented by israelis is just the blood libel but against palestinians.

So watching videos of Israeli politicians and even some Israeli private citizens always gives me a weird vibe. These people are American – their mannerisms are American, their way of dress is American, even their opinions are American. Netanyahu himself looks like somebody you might encounter on a street in Chicago, or at a dinner event somewhere in the Midwest, and he speaks English with an American accent. Obviously this is all anecdotal, but even the most America-obssessed Europeans I’ve met don’t come across as anywhere near this level of red-white-and-blue.

(I’m told that Zionists have noticed this, and that idiot American evangelicals – faux Christians – refer to it as manifesting a “blood line,” which is quite an interesting choice of words).
