Manchester United have confirmed Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim as their new head coach. The Portuguese will start officially on Monday, November 11 with Ruud van Nistelrooy, put in interim charge following Ten Hag’s departure on Monday, set to remain at the helm for upcoming games with Chelsea, PAOK and Leicester City. Amorim has signed a contract to 2027 with the option of a further year with his first game set to be away at Ipswich Town on November 24.     At least can have some optimism whether justified or not :p. The assistants appear to be younger than him, so interesting to see how that dynamic plays out among the squad.

    A lot have been made about the 3 4 3 system. Would he attempt this and would be right away? Definitely a lot to watch out for.

      Well apparently Liverpool passed on Amorim because he said he won’t compromise on his 3-4-3

      So I am guessing we will see the 3-4-3 possibly with an Antony LWB resurgence

      We barely have healthy defenders, so it would make sense to just use 3 at a time. Lol

      Wasn’t Conte at Chelsea using 3-4-3 and won the league?
