Mike Lindell, the controversial founder of MyPillow and vocal ally to Donald Trump, is claiming ignorance over the neo-Nazi symbolism in his pillow prices.

Lindell’s pillow company, which he founded in 2009, is currently offering customers the “Standard Classic MyPillow” for $14.88 reduced from $49.98.

But the discount has got critics pointing out a popular neo-Nazi symbol lurking behind the price.

The numbers 14 and 88 are two popular white supremacist numeric symbols, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

The first is a nod to the “14 words” slogan, “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children,” coined by David Lane – a member of the white supremacist terrorist group known as The Order.

Meanwhile, 88 is a common code meaning “Heil Hitler”, because H is the eighth letter in the alphabet.

I’ll judge a book by its cover, you don’t watch the news by your own admission and you can’t spell. That’s enough to dismiss your opinions out of hand. In ‘contex.’ What you appreciate or don’t about ‘lobotmites’ is really kind of irrelevant and quite frankly the most outdated comment I’ve read in quite a while.

Yeah i dont watch the news because the news hasn’t been about telling factual storys, every station is biased. And im tired of the political news stations and the shock factor storys. Instead of actual reporting they would rather talk about dumb little things or heavly misleading and perspective bending storys. Thats why i switched to lemmy, its everbody oppions fedirated. So ideally its more of a mutal consisis and constructive rather than censorship on outlet spewing slop. And i never was good in english class for grammer, which is mostly my fault. And i apologize if i came off rude, i dont like when people go online and assume just because people have different opinions means there “Woke” or racist or somthing. And i appreciate not interacting on a platform where is internet slop and circle jerking. If you wanna have a diffrent oppion and judge a book, then thats on you. I wish you the best.

I appreciate your candor. I don’t agree with you but I don’t think I’m going to change your opinion. I wish you would spend some time not ‘being woke’ and using buzzwords straight from Fox News that you have apparently never seen, but instead looking at your angry behavior. No one said you weren’t woke enough, but I’m really curious why you wouldn’t want to be woke? What does it mean to you to respect other people and be awake to their struggles? You may not like them, they may clash with your views, but how does it hurt you this bad?

My dude i dont live in a isolation bubble the word was has been used in countless memes on lemmy and i still talk to people. Knowing a definition isnt damning. Ive been respectful but i see you are not worth my time, as even being candid and not making it personal and made it factual. To which you have as much evidence as you have understanding of others. Which is very few, have a good one.
