        Ah, that’s unfortunate. I think Reddit mirroring isn’t great for reasons like this.

          It might be better if a note was added indicating that it came from somewhere else - attributing the source. That might cause some issues too, but at least it would be clearer.

            Unfortunately adding a note would require more effort than I’m willing to put in.

              Just paste the Reddit link the description? Doesn’t seem like much more work.

                If you click the “i.redd.it” part of the Lemmy post it’ll take you to a Reddit page containing the image which has the user’s account on the bottom left. You can even view the original post from this page. I’m using the lemmynsfw web interface for this. Does that help?

          There’s a few other posters in this community but it’s mostly me and it’s mostly from Reddit. It doesn’t seem like either of those are going to change in the near future. If the Reddit thing bothers or offends you I think the only recourse may be to block the community.
