The story behind this is that the Boston New Wave band, Human Sexual Response, swapped this song in as the closing number on a late night, local TV appearance. This caught the show’s producers by surprise, earning the station a fine. Apparently it was on at 2am, though.
I stumbled upon it when looking up the history of their guitarist.
